DOUBLE RAINBOW BABY BECKHAM'S #SAFEARRIVAL STORY

Updated: Aug 25

Beckham's #safearrival story is being shared by PUSH Changemaker & Social Media Lead, Chelsea Stair, to help raise awareness and empower other future parents.

I wouldn't be holding my double rainbow baby boy in my arms without PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy! Their pregnancy tips, guidance, and support helped me advocate so hard during my pregnancy with him! PUSH helped me to feel and be empowered with decision making with each Dr. appointment that I had during all my prenatal care!

I have learned so much about knowing your baby & body best! Listening to your mama (gut) instincts, and to be vocal and speak up if I notice a change within my own body, and with my babies kicks/unique pattern. I learned about kick counting! I loved bonding with my boy, and learned how to properly track my babies movements! This really helped put my mind at ease.

I further learned more about Incompetent Cervix (which I was diagnosed with previously; I had a TAC (Transabdominal cerclage) placed pre-pregnancy) and what to watch out for. It was very important to me that my team of Drs. were aware of my diagnosis and procedure. I made sure that we were both on the same page with everything going forward. I also made sure my Drs. were looking out for infections (common with cerclage patients). Which I ended up having an infection that was quickly treated, because I knew the symptoms and warnings signs! I saw a change in my body, I knew something was “off”/ not right! I spoke up! I was especially hyper aware and concerned about my diagnosis of IC, when it came to cervical length and or feeling pressure, due to my TAC. I had countless scans & monitoring, and pushed for those “extra ultrasounds” to ease my worries!

PUSH truly helped me to address concerns, and ask questions to my team of Drs. If I ever felt like something was off, or had any concerns, to not wait!! Just go in!

PUSH also mentions to not leave the hospital until I felt reassured, confident and know all risks & benefits, and that is what I did! I felt no page was left un-turned. I feel this pregnancy experience was vastly different than my prior two. It was the most informed and empowered pregnancy journey, that I am so thankful I was able to experience with our double rainbow boy. I know without a doubt I am holding our sweet 3rd baby here in my arms with the help of PUSH’s pregnancy tips, guidance, and support! I felt empowered to advocate with such informative knowledge, which I gained through PUSH’s tips, website, guidance & support throughout the duration of my pregnancy with our sweet double rainbow. I'm so grateful for his safe arrival!
