A Game Changer for Medical Providers: Accredited Training Modules for Stillbirth Prevention and Trauma-Informed Pregnancy After Loss Care

Stillbirth Prevention training provides 4-hour accreditation

PUSH is excited to announce that our groundbreaking Pregnancy After Loss (PAL) Provider Training and a brand new Stillbirth Prevention Training course are both fully accredited for medical professionals and other providers providing care to pregnant patients.

This convenient, straightforward online training equips healthcare providers with the essential knowledge and skills necessary not just to support expectant families in their grieving process but also to foster safer pregnancies and prevent stillbirths from happening in the first place. Uniquely, these first-of-their-kind training modules were developed primarily by bereaved parents, with a focus on the firsthand patient experience and the common challenges patients encounter when trying to advocate for themselves and their babies in today's complex healthcare system.

Pregnancy After Loss training provides 6-hour accreditation

Each training course is accredited for a wide array of practitioners, including physicians, nurses, certified nurse, midwives, physician's assistants, social workers, psychologists and mental health professionals, and a variety of doulas and other birth workers. The Pregnancy After Loss Training provides 6 hours of continuing education, and the Stillbirth Prevention Training is accredited for 4 continuing ed hours.

The Unique Approach of PUSH's Training Modules

PUSH's training sets itself apart by drawing on the real experiences of parents who have faced stillbirth.

The prevention curriculum thoroughly tackles preventive strategies from the lens of "what I wish I had been told before my baby died," sharing proven evidence-based strategies from around the world which are already lowering stillbirth rates by 20% or more where they are being employed.

Meanwhile, the PAL curriculum explores the unique challenges of anxiety and fear faced by parents pregnant again after a previous loss, and trains providers in administering sensitive, trauma-informed care during subsequent pregnancies.

The engaging, learn-at-your-own-pace modules are rich with powerful video content and compelling storytelling, accessible on any device in easily digestible 5 minute lessons, and the entire curriculum is backed by a panel of medical and research experts.

Accreditation: A Mark of Quality and Credibility

The training modules are tailored for a diverse range of medical providers. Physicians, nurses, midwives, mental health professionals, social workers, community health workers, and doulas will find valuable insights throughout the courses.

By equipping these professionals with specialized skills, PUSH seeks to revolutionize the healthcare landscape surrounding stillbirth awareness and prevention, and pregnancy after loss.

Every practitioner has the potential to influence their institution or practice to dismantle barriers that obstruct healthy communication and foster trust and collaboration. PUSH's hope is that these modules will help prenatal healthcare providers build a culture of empathy and awareness where patients and providers can work together to improve outcomes across the board.

Transforming Maternal Health Care

PUSH's accredited training modules for stillbirth prevention and trauma-informed pregnancy after loss care represent a meaningful leap in healthcare education. By prioritizing the needs of parents navigating pregnancy and loss, and equipping medical providers with vital tools and knowledge, these offerings contribute to a more compassionate approach to maternal care.

Healthcare providers are encouraged to explore the accredited training available from PUSH—because every parent and every baby deserves their best possible chance to make it home safe together.

Development and accreditation of these trainings was made possible with the generous support of our partners at Earth Mama Organics and through funding donated in loving memory of Theodore "Teddy" Louis Goldman Pace, born still on April 5th, 2024. #unitedwepush
