Each day, 65 American babies are born still, and at least 1 in 4 of these are preventable. Changes in fetal movement are often the first and only sign of distress, yet there is no standardized guidelines for healthcare professionals on how to address this critical issue in prenatal care.
NOW IS THE TIME
Since 2021, we've been pushing to influence public health policy and elevate the issue of stillbirth into national consciousness. The Stillness Is An Illness campaign is a three-phase approach to changing the clinical treatment guidelines of healthy, term pregnancies through the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG):

-
Building a coalition of passionate healthcare professionals to demand improved prenatal care standards

Developing physician-approved standardized protocols to ensure providers recognize and treat stillness like any other symptom of potential fetal illness
-
Creating resources and opportunities to ensure stillbirth prevention advocates are seen and heard by those with the power to create change
